Hi all,
Excuse my tarty follow up but just so you have all the details and sign up for the mailing list to be notified when the next order opens.
The Whole Home co-op located in Viewbank, we currently have about 10-15 members so we are buying some of the staples in high quantities and getting the cheaper for kg prices.
We bulk order 5 times a year, once at the start of each term and another prior to Christmas.
Here are some details about the co-op:
Orders, payment, delivery & pickup
------------------------------------
- Many items can be bought in bulk quantities or have a discount for multi buys so these savings will be passed on where quantities are meet. Ie. Almonds can be bought in 1kg, 5kg and 20kg. So if 5 people want a 1kg we can order the 5kg and its cheaper per kg.
- Orders will open after the delivery of the prior order and payments will be required within a couple days of invoice being sent once orders have closed.
- To place your order you fill in a google spreadsheet (link is sent via email a few weeks prior to order close).
- Payments can be made via direct deposit or should you like to use Paypal or Credit Card via website (standard rates will apply)
- Once the orders have been closed the order will be received within roughly 7 days.
- Pickup days will be allocated and pickup is from Viewbank
- Some bulk items will require your own packaging so you can drop off jars/bags prior to the packing day
-Prices are subject to change month to month and dependant on the size of the item.
-Orders are once a term (roughly school holidays/first week back) and an additional one prior to christmas (1st week Dec).
- It is expected that all members will assist with splitting and packing at least once during the year (approx 2 hours) days/time flexible, a call for volunteers will be posted a week or so before packing.
- We order mainly from Honest 2 Goodness (http://www.goodness.com.au/ for their product range), Terra Madre, Mountain Bread, Rich Glen Olives, Loving Earth, La Torterilla, Austral Herbs, Little Creek Beef, Angel Organics (adhoc).
- There is a one off membership fee of $25 to cover some co-op admin expenses (ie. additional trestles, scales, packaging, gloves etc.) payable on second order (trial for the first order)
